[attachment=7126][attachment=7126][attachment=7126]After discovering items left in the floor storage well on the drivers side in front of the rear passenger seat smelled of diesel, investigated removing the fibre tray and felt base. There is a small bore pipe at the side which has been joined which I suspect is the problem. It seems too small to be the diesel feed - is it the dribble/leak off pipe return to the tank?

Could be the water supply to the rear window washer

Put a towel on the floor and ease the connection apart a little and see what comes out - diesel or water. It's possible that the pipe has lost its grip at the connector (one piece looks older than the other?) - might be worth compressing the pipe either side of the joint with grips to stop any leak, cut the pipes back a little and reconnect.

I'm a bit reluctant to separate the pipe at the join as it has gone hard and may be difficult to re-join... have wrapped the join in a paper towel and will see if it gets wet with diesel or water. Might just be a coincidence that a previous owner maybe spilt diesel in the well.

Looks like the rear window washer pipe, maybe try the rear washer & see if it works/leaks?
