And now the same issue with my Jan 2020 K9 with 33,000 miles. "Engine Fault - Repair Needed " and "Adblue Emissions fault". Took it to a local independent , who topped up tank and did a reset and the fault disappeared, only to return a week later, when the independent said it was probably beyond them and to go to a Citroen dealer.
Went in this morning and just been rung to say it needs a new Adblue tank. £1,400 to replace, or if they do a full scan which will take 3 hours, they can get Citroen to pay 1/3 the cost of a new tank. But of course Citroen won't pay for the extra scan. Overall this will reduce to bill to £1,000 rather than £1,400
Edited to say that full bill came to £866 incl VAT. Invoice shows labour for the full scan at £325, and labour for fitting the new tank at £208 (both before VAT). While The new tank itself is shown as costing £851.70, but I was charged only £170.34 for it (both pre VAT) with Citroen presumably covering the remaining £681.36.
There was also a surcharge of £100 on the tank, not sure why, and a further credit of £81, again not sure why.

Hmm so after the tank replacement in Sep 2024, all was well. Hoowever while driving on Friday last, the exact same warning lights, steady Adblue light, steady Spanner and steady engine management light, plus a warning flashing up on the dashboard that there was an emsissions error popped up.
I had topped up with 10 Litres of Adblue 3 days previously.
Happened to be passing the local dealer so stopped in, and car was booked in for today, Tuesday after the bank holiday.
Drove car on Saturday at which point the Adblue light began flashing and a new message popped up on the display, stating that there was a fault with the Emission system and that starting would be impossible in 700 miles unless it was repaired.
Well after the dealer (Wilmoth's in Folkestone) looked at it today, they reported that they had hooked it up to their sensor equipment but that no fault was found. This check had "reset" the system, and after road testing for a while they could find no fault. So after forking out for their diagnostic I am advised that if the fault comes bacl to take the car back to them !

Sounds like you are having a bit of a nightmare with your Berlingo. Can I ask what mileage it is on now [you reported 33,000 a couple of years ago] The reason for the question, is that I'm guessing [I could be completely wrong of course] that you don't do a lot of miles in your Berlingo?
The problem with modern diesels with all their complex ad-blue type systems added in recent years to get through emissions tests, is they only really work well if you are doing a lot of miles. Modern diesels just do not like low mileage/short journeys all the time an that invariably leads to problems. PSA/Stellantis group also seem to like to make it a lot more difficult to use any sort of third party diagnostic tools that a home users can use to diagnose problems or reset messages, leading to increased bills as you end up having to take the vehicle to a dealer. Hope you manage to get to the bottom of the problem without incurring too much cost.
I only got rid of my 2008 B9 Multispace XTR a couple of years back because I live close to the London ULEZ area and I have relatives inside the zone and paying every time I went in was a real pain, plus my mileage dropped off after retirement as I had a 80 mile commute every work day. I would have kept the vehicle otherwise, as being a Euro 4 diesel it did not have a DPF or any sort of Eolys or Ad-Blue systems and would regularly return 55+ MPG. Great vehicle for both space and doing the miles. We did a number of trips around Europe in it.

Just under 47,000. I regularly go on the A2 to Canterbury and make sure to give it a blast while doing so.
