I've watched that channel for a few years and the guy is knowledgeable and has a nice relaxed presenting style. The info about the M49 vs M59 front end crash performance was interesting. Funny but I've never found my M49 - which has the same DW8 engine as the one in the test - to feel particularly sluggish up hills, in fact my K9 is much worse when it comes to having to change down gear.

I also did not know about the font end crash test. It was a bit weird that the shape difference sbetween the M49 and M59 were pretty much only at the front and the dashboard. The rest seem exactly the same. Now it makes sense.

That's my partner. I made a big, big mistake of getting rid of our B9 to help fund a purchase of a focus st. Great car. Loads of fun but not a Berlingo.
Found that quiksliver for £800 with history and full MOT. Ok so it's slow. So very slow and isn't in the same league as a B9 but it's a great car for biking etc.
Thought hubnut viewers would appreciate it.

Not you too? I got rid of my B9 van for a Frozen White MK7.5 Fiesta ST200
Now I can only fit a couple of shopping bags in the boot and not much else. Goes like a scalded cat and eats petrol like it's free. Looks lovely too, but me and the missus both miss the van. I wanted a MK3 Focus ST but there were none up my way by the time I had the cash ready.
Should have just bought a newer van but didn't want another diesel.

Yeah. The st is an itch I had to scratch. Just couldn't get over the loss of practicality and fuel economy. Even the kids missed the picnic tables.
I'm driving the older MK2.5 st so it's doing 21mpg. Sounds awesome and is running 290bhp, but you can't fit a full suss bike in the boot without playing Tetris.

We had an M49(Citroen) from 2000 for 12 years, our M59 (Citroen) based Romahome since 2007, both with DW8 engines and they benefit from being worked hard.
The M49 was replaced in 2012 with a 2 year old B9 (Citroen) 1.6 diesel, a good car but in 2017 it developed an intermittent starting fault so it was replaced with a Fiat Qubo as we were trying tto downsize, that lasted 6 months before it was replaced with a 2011 B9 (Peugeot) which we gave to one of our sons earlier this year when we replaced it with a K9 (Vauxhall)
When we were looking this time we discovered that we couldnt buy a new one and we werent bothered about the branding. We discovered though that there was quite a price differential between Peugeot, Citroen and Vauxhall for the same spec. We ended up with a 9 month old vauxhall not because of price but because of availability and spec, we would have bought any of the 3 but this one happened to crop up at a very good price and very very low mileage. We really like it and it is very different to the B9s that we have had

Now, the MK2.5 FoST is the best looking MK2 and the sound of that 5 pot is epic. That will be a classic in the future and I might still have one of those yet.
