Hi all
I have a recurring problem when the engine is under load, accelerating uphill for example.
Engine Rev will blip when revs are increased 2000rpm plus and either return to normal or go into severe limp mode. Turn the ignition off and back on, and limp is reset. I don’t even pull over to do it now, I do it before I lose any speed.
Obd states injector 2 circuit open.
Went to a mechanic who’s first question was “have you filled up with supermarket fuel” and for the last 3 months yes I have!
I have now run 2 full tanks of shell vpower with injector/fuel pump cleaner and the problem has much improved, but still occurs occasionally.
Could this be dirty injectors or a mechanical/electrical problem? Anyone had this problem before? Where do I start to solve this?
It’s a 2005 2.0hdi
