I was wondering why one of the sliding doors was stiff.
The bogey of the middle track (the one under the window), didn't seem to want to keep up with everything else.
So out it comes. (half open door, prop the end with something to take the weight, undo two 13mm bolts, slide the bogey to the bend in the track by the door jamb and tip it out.
The roller that takes the weight had skidded it's plastic "tyre" totally flat to the metal in one place.
Perfectly smooth bearing, so why it did this I have no idea.
Nothing sensible on Ebay, the roller might be replaceable, but it is hammered & peened into place, too much hassle even if I could get the right one.
So, looking closer, after prising the remains of the plastic "tyre" off, there are two lovely radiused grooves in the steel of the bearing. Cleaned, sanded, and a bit of 5 minute epoxy, glued two o rings into these grooves.
One hour in the oven at 60C to speed up the glue and it all works lovely.
I will let you know how long it lasts.
Part number of bogey 903430
Part number of roller kit 5931996 which will need lots of faff drilling & ball-peen hammering.
