Have you checked all your fuses? To make sure they’re not blown. There is another sneaky fuse that can interrupt the power steering which is Fuse 9 I think, for the headlight adjustment. Had a problem on a van and that fuse had blown and caused the power steering fault.

(This post was last modified: 11-05-2022, 01:25 PM by Zion.)
No comms is likely a CAN network fault (white and red twisted pair of wires found all over the vehicle) - check the harness where they leave the electropump assembly over the front drivers side chassis rail ahead of the engine (below the PS fluid cap/reservoir) - could also be the electropump assembly has died, that also can result in no comms. The fuse you pointed out (F6) is the right one.
Also you won't get a proper code using a standard OBD reader, code 047 doesn't exist. You need DiagBox to get the actual fault code. Here is the official list: (sorry for the long post)
Table : Fault codes - Electropump assembly.
C1178
Internal control unit fault : Non-identified
C1201
DAE motor excess current fault : Non-identified
C1202

C1203
Electropump assembly motor jamming fault : Mechanical jamming
C1204
Steering wheel angle sensor signal S1 fault : Short circuit to positive or short circuit to earth
C1205
Steering wheel angle sensor signal fault : Short circuit to positive or short circuit to earth
C1206
Steering wheel angle sensor signal fault : Short circuit between two wires
C1209
Ignition plus supply fault
: Non-identified
C1211
Vehicle high speed wake-up fault : Non-identified
C1406
Electropump assembly overheating fault : Non-identified
C1407
Vehicle speed information fault : Non-identified
C1408
Vehicle speed information absent or lost : No signal
C1417
Steering wheel angle sensor fault : Non-identified
C1554
Temperature sensor fault : Non-identified
P0561

hi all again, thanks to Zion for comprehensive list, problem solved turned out to be 80A fuse breaking down, found it using a bulb, then i tried a 40A fuse in case i fried something, blew it when holding against the lock end,all seemed well with a 60 amp,so refitted original size 80A job done,so thank you again , mick.
P.S will keep Zion's list for future reference,

Good stuff. That list only relates to the EHPS system - but I have the codes for other systems when needed.
Glad to hear it's solved for now. Can you indicate which fuse had gone for others who end up with the same issue? Plus it's unusual to blow an 80A fuse without a problem at the other end, so keep an eye out for electropump failure!

hi again, the fuse in question no.5 on the battery plate, the fuse has no window and held contact for about 30 seconds which
is why i missed it first time round when i was too busy dreading what i was going to find.
i take on board what you say about diag.tool but i would never get the value out off it, so thanks for now, mick.
