B9 fault code reader socket

Hi all, I've just been fitting towbar electrics and, somehow managed to activate the "passenger air bag activated" fault on the dashboard.
The airbag hasn't been activated and the warning message has gone away, but it is still showing in the fault log, which I would like to clear.
I have a fault code reader that I used with my previous cars (Skoda and Peugeot) but the plug won't fit my 2017 Berlingo.
I was under the impression that all obd2 sockets were universal but obviously not.
I wonder if anyone can recommend an obd2 reader that would fit my Berligo ?

the obd2 port is the same for skoda/vw as for peugeot partner / citroen berlingo
i also have diag device for vw and peugeot and it's the same connector..if you want i can put pics with it..

Thanks for your quick reply deejay.
I know where the obd port is , but my obd reader plug won't fit in the Berlingo's socket. The one on my Skoda Octavia was pale blue and fitted fine but this one is orange and, although similar, it has a lip which stops the plug from being inserted. I've tried using a moderate amount of force but it just won't go past the lip.

The standard OBD plug should fit the Berlingo. Can you post any pictures?

green - peugeot/citroen lexia obd2 connector
yellow/black - vag connector

both are the same..

Theres no difference to other vehicles, just push harder. Wiggle the plug in, they are the same but can be tight or even slightly out of the holding frame (tilted backwards), check by pressing it from behind with your hand.

I've just been and gave it a firm shove and it went in as you all said.
It gave a fault code of P2200 which wasn't on the list.
Anyway, I tried to clear it and it failed, so probably a rubbish fault code reader!!
I've just realised that the "passenger air bag activated" message isn't a fault, it's just telling me that it's active, along with the " drivers door open " etc.
I got the engine (MIL?) light came on while driving the first time since messing with the tow bar electrics and just assumed that it was the air bag fault when I checked the read out on the dash board.
Whatever it was, it has gone away, but still showing one fault, so I guess I will have to get another more suitable OBD2 reader to clear it. Thanks again for your help

Just a comment on the fit of the OBD2 plug. I've just been testing out a 'memory saver' and initially thought it too wouldn't fit. The plug for my code reader fitted just fine.  There is quite a large 'lug' on the side of the socket in the car, and the plug wouldn't push over it.

On closer inspection I realised that my code reader's plug looked like the green one in the image above - in that it has a 'cut out' which the lug snaps into when the plug is fitted.

The memory saver does NOT have this cut out, and as a result the plastic is less flexible in that area. So I have to wiggle/bend it a little bit until it goes on.

So, as the OP discovered - it just requires a bit more force than you might expect to plug in. That might be the reason they had the same trouble?

Yep, I think so. Some cheap plugs for example don't have a hump or hole for that latch
