Central locking issues, the Ghost of electricity k9
#1
Hello!
There is a strange issues with a central locking on my k9.
The key remote are able to close and to open the van only in 2 minutes after the ignition turned off. Then it is impossible to do.
I usually open the door with the key and then after put it into the switch. After that I can open the other doors with the central locking button on the deck board.
While I'm sitting inside the car for more then a 2 minutes and the engine is not running, usually I can hear the click of some kind of relay, and straight after electricity inside the car turns off. That means multimedia, windows, lights and the lamps. Also when I open the door, it is not lighting the saloon lamps. And all the buttons inside the car they are not active, until I put the key inside the switch again.

Please help))

I've changed the battery in the key remote 2 times.

Yes I did, everything looks perfect. And the car battery is pretty new. The point is that there is a kind of system that turning of the onboard electricity after a 2 minutes. And I think that's okay, but it shouldn't turn off the central locking and the key remote signal receiver.

Sounds like a faulty key transmitter. Do you have a second key or can you get an auto locksmith to test the key signal from the buttons being operated?
