Sat Nav Live Update
#1
Hi
We have just brought a new Berling (31-05-2022) (mobility car) and the live traffic information (TMC) for the Sat nav is not working, we have been to Citeron and they say there is a bug but it wont be fixed till about end of July, they said they have a couple of berlingo with the same fault
has anyone else have a problem with their Sat Nav not picking up live traffic reports

In the era of Google Maps and Waze TMC has become irrelevant. Just hook your phone up to the head unit and have Google Maps/Waze route you based on much much better live traffic data.

Hi there! I have a 22’ plate Berlingo Van with the Driver Spec delivered early April 2022. This includes the Sat Nav. Previously in my 2020 same style vehicle, the live traffic updates and speed cam would work perfectly well. However I experienced the same problem as you with my new van.

It seems the previous van had a built in SIM from the factory which allowed the updates to work directly from the van. Now it seems the SIM is no longer fitted and therefore you have tether mobile data from your mobile phone via Bluetooth to allow the Sat Nav to list live updates.

It sounds complicated, but as long as your phone has Bluetooth switched on and mobile data too, you should see the TMC logo on the bottom right of your Sat Nav display change to Tom Tom.

Why Citroen keeps changing things I’ve no idea, but this all might be to do with the chip shortage in China and elsewhere. Having said that my new van should have been fitted with a digital dash board and instead still has dials.

I have a 2021 Berlingo model and its Traffic Sat Nav software (a version of TomTom I think) works fine. Even so I use Android Auto which I think is better to look at for information on the road ahead.

Having said that its current version has a bug which locks the display into nightmode - which is perfectly visible during the day even so. Google powers are being developed to correct it in the July or Aug updates.

Can you tell me what version you have installed and I'll check it against mine.

I have been in touch with Citroen head office and they said that a part has not been fitted, i should contact my dealer which i have done and waiting for them to call me back
