[Warning Light] Eolys fault
#1
Hi

Not sure if anyone can help or not?
I have seen a few posts similar So hoping someone has a solution.
I have a 2017 Berlingo which I bought last December.
After fuelling up I got a engine warning light come up, I took the vehicle into Citroen and they read off the fault codes:
FEB4
U011887
P143496
P143500
They said these relate to the additive pump and tank which they think are working OK.
Their solution is to replace the fuel tank but not promising it will work but will still cost me a lot regardless.
When I bought the van it had paper work to say the additive tank and pump had been replaced last year(not by Citroen)
So any help would be really appreciated

Thanks
Jim

Welcome to the forum. I don't know the answer to your problem, but I'd find somewhere else to get a second opinion! Whereabouts are you in England?

Hi
Thanks for the welcome and message
I’m in Oxfordshire
I have spoke to a few garages but nobody seems to want the job.
My local garage are really good but they said it really needs to go to Citroen.

Perhaps contact Mark Lightfoot in Ilkeston ( 0115 932 8396) for an opinion, he may have some suggestions about where to go, hopefully some others on here may have some recommendations nearer to you. Mark is registered on here as @Lighty

I posted a condolence message on our notices section, regarding Mark's passing. His son Isaac will still be running the garage so ask for him, not Mark as that was his dad and he is no longer with us.

Those codes..you've added digits on the end but they are all to do with additive system faults.

Ideally the additive ECU needs programming to tell it the parts have been replaced, as just swapping them is not enough. I expect that's what the other garage did. You can't clear those codes in the normal way you would expect, the additive ECU needs programmed with "new additive pump" etc

Watch this video for some idea. No idea what the hell Citroen offered to replace them again for. It just needs coded now. Likelihood is the car thinks the DPF filter is going to block up. Watch this:

I thought the same but Citroen are adamant their diagnosis would flag this up and also it ran for 6000 miles since the van been mine without a fault?
