[Transmission] Clutch return spring

Last week the clutch on my 2005 Citroen berlingo multispace started making strange noises, when we arrived home the clutch return spring unit fell off. One of the plastic parts had broken. Ordered new parts from main dealer still not been delivered.

I have only used the car twice locally and have found that the only difference is the pedal is a bit easier to depress, it returns to the right position when I take my foot of the pedal. What I would like to know is will I do any damage to the clutch if I keep on using the car until I get the parts.

I had a 2003 2.0 and my spring fell off after about two years, I continued to drive it for a further 7 years without replacing it and had no problems at all.
