[Engine] Unknown plug loose
#1
Evening guys,

Apologies if I'm not using the forum properly but I wondered if someone could tell me where this plug goes and what it's for can't find anywhere to plug it in.

Regards Tom

Could be the low fluid warning for the brake fluid reservoir - can't see the 'sensor' part on the reservoir, which may be a replacement. Would have expected 2 pins.
Plug looks like this, taken from thread https://frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/viewt...hp?t=45518

Not sure if it actually gets to the point of what the plug actually is, but clearly you are not alone!!

You may not have the item that the plug is for. Harnesses are built the same for all models and many times there are phantom plugs left unconnected..

Has it always been like this or had something stopped working?

Thanks for your replies, I purchased the van around a week ago with little to no history. I was just fiddling around and noticed it laying there. The brakes are shocking and I get shudder when braking from speed. I suspect a warped disc I was just checking the resivour while waiting for the parts to arrive.

Thanks

I have had the exact same plug unconnected since I bought the car. It is as Zion said, a phantom plug, not much to worry about.

Thanks for the replies I come to conculiosn as one user said its an unused loom plug but I would of thought they would of capped it or something rather than leaving it looking as though it needs plugging in.

Have a good weekend

Hahaha, you would have thought so wouldn't you. Just cheaper to leave it like that, 10p saved to cap it off multiplied by thousands of vehicles and you end up with a CEO bonus.
