Sliding door handle not working - FLOPPY

Hello Berlingo Forum. I've looked lots but never asked.
My real left sliding door exterior handle had stopped working . Inside handle working as normal. 
It's all flimsy and just rattles. I have just took the interior of the door off and had a look around. All parts seem to be connected , so I believe it must be the pin.

My question is....how on earth for I change the pin . I don't understand. I have never done anything like this before but I want to give it a go.. I took the inside handle off so I could access the inner workings but that's where I was stumped. 

Any tips?

its quite easy.
A new one is a couple of quid off ebay. ive got a spare one somewhere
Just knock the old one out with a hammer/pin punch, and knock the new one in
