We were driving south along the M6 last Thursday morning when something in the engine compartment decided to burst into flames. End result Romahome completely destroyed and motorway brought to a halt for 2 hours.
We are ok though and that is the main thing

Just cosmetic damage. Some T cut and elbow grease will buff that out.
Now a 2019 K9 1.2 petrol.
Before a 2010 B9 1.6 HDi diesel.

Blimey. That's some write-off. Are all those long fibres the remains of fibreglass panels? Have you found out what it was that started it?

That's a dreadful thing to happen to you Peter- thank heavens that you got out without injury - a really intense fire. Hopefully you'll be able to find a good replacement for your 15 year friend.

Sorry to hear about your loss but really glad you both got out unscathed.
Best of luck with your search for a replacement
