How to adjust opening rear glass panel?
#1
Hi, I have a 2017 Flair, with the opening rear window option ('tailgate screen'?).  A rattle has been driving me nuts recently, and I've realised it is because the rear glass does not sit the same on both sides when closed. It is fine on one side, but too tight on the other - i.e. the glass itself is rattling against the metal of the tailgate just on that one side.

I assume/hope  it is possible to adjust the hinges to bring the glass out slightly on the side where it is too tight. Has anyone done this, or know how to? Internet searches have not revealed anything so far.

I tried to take the plastic cover off the hinge to have a look but don't want to break anything by forcing it...

Cheers!

Quick update - I managed to remove the plastic covers - but can't see any obvious adjustment or difference between the hinges. No obvious sign of damage or repair - it is just too tight on the one side when closed!?!

Is there any adjustment on the keep where the window latches ?
So where does this bit go then ?

Nothing obvious, but that part is fine as far as I can tell - it's literally up by the hinge on one side that's the issue. Hard to describe, but think of those kitchen cabinet hinges where you have to adjust them to get the door level - it's like it's out of adjustment - but there's nothing obviously wrong that I can tell by eye.

Maybe post a pic of the hinge, with cover removed ... it might generate an idea.

I agree, a photo might help. Is it likely that shims are used under the hinges?

I did think about posting photos originally, but it looks like you have to host them off-site and provide a URL - will have to work out how to do that first.

Cheers!

Yep as JJ says, use the black "New Reply" button, not the quick reply box and you'll see below the main window, a "Choose File" button, hit that and browse to the pics and select one at a time, then click "Add Attachment" after each pic is selected and finally, "Post Reply" as long as the photos are on your PC or the phone, and you know how to browse to them.
