Anyone else had this problem/know the solution?
While pulling handle forward to shut NSR sliding door from fully open position, the handle moves forward/outward slightly, and in doing so touches and pulls out the trim on the front fixed part of the door handle leaving it unclipped and likely to fall off. It clicks back in place easily.
I've made a short video to illustrate the problem.

Not had that problem at all. But I note that in your video you pull the handle out and then slide it - mine just slides quite happily without pulling the handle out.

Interesting, does yours both open AND close without pulling the handle out, please?

I have to pull the handle out first, I also had to do the same on the 2 B9s that we had. That is how the lock mechanism unlatches

Nope, to open you have to pull the handle out. But closing it just slides, there is slight resistance from the latching mechanism but it just slides past that.

I see what Desdinova means, when opening the door, you pull out and back, away from the trim. When closing, you don't pull the handle, just slide it shut with enough force to unlatch and then close it.
My B9 was the same as he describes, the K9 must be the same. No pulling the handle out when closing, otherwise you're pulling it towards the trim and out when closing and that is probably what is dislodging the trim cap. Just slide it from the open position with enough force and it unlatches by itself.

Hmmm ok, not so good then eh. Maybe there's a bit of fouling from poor molding, maybe a fine file on the edge of the cover would help to stop it catching.
