Strange issue here
I had the P1445 error code so I did a virtual replacement of the FAP and actually filled the reservoir tank up with eloys.
Resetted everything and now the additive pump is always running with ignition on and not engine on. Can't get it to stop.
Car is a 2014 Citroën berlingo multispace 1.6hdi 92hp.
This happened after I deleted the trouble codes. Had no warnings in the dash or anything.
Spent 5 hours or more to solve this and I am out of ideas and smell like a factory of eloys.
Please help if you can.

Did you set the pump into test mode in Diagbox and not switch it back out of test?
In normal use, it only runs for a brief second each time you open the fuel cap and then close it again (triggered by closing it using a magnetic sensor or switch of some kind) - maybe the sensor / switch is stuck on, I think the cap kicks the sensor into life as it rotates into the locked position. Maybe something is wrong with the cap or sensor.

No i had the P1445 fault code wich I erased and made a virtual reset of the FAP. After that the ticking started but I have no fault codes.
Refilled the eolys tank also but that did not help.
Reset the tank so it's showing full now.
No fault codes at all and no I have not tested the pump. It is always on now.
Tried a different fuel cap aswell but that did not help.
But as said, no fault codes whatsoever.
Where is the fuel cap sensor on the car located?

I think, as I haven't had to mess with mine, on the upper lip of the filler neck surround somewhere. I take it you don't have Diagbox? Did you use a SnapOn unit or something?

Upper lip of what ?
I use Diagbox 9.68.
Funny thing though. If I do the refill additive in diagbox, pump stops. But when I turn off ignition and turn it on again as diagbox says, pump constant clicks again.
Performing actuator tests would abort if I abort them?

The upper lip of the metal filler neck connects to the body with a rubber seal...? I had expected it's in there (behind the seal somewhere).
V9.68 is a very late version for configuration options on a B9, as V7.63 goes up to 2016, without looking at my own post on the subject showing every version and what it does, in the how-to section. After 7.63 most config options went online and no longer work or are accessible. This could be the issue.
Did you save and commit the changes or are you just exiting Diagbox after doing the refill additive update? It could be the option is not being saved to the ECU permanently, it's been a while since I did this stuff myself but there should be a save / do button and the software will ask you to switch off the ignition, and back on again - then the configuration changes are saved.
This should be in the "replacement parts" section of DB.
Some vehicles have a separate "additive ECU" identified by Global Scan, and some use the engine ECU (which is called "Injection Calculator" in Citroen speak)
There should be an option to "reset additive counter" - the level if required to be entered is 1.1L, some versions only require the counter reset to zero.

No, it tells what next steps are and so on. When everything is done it says programing complete.
I have done it on my Peugeot partner tepee 1.6 hdi 2010 With version 8.55 so no I don't think it is an online issue.
The sensor for fuel cap is a harness that goes down to the tank right?
Just curious about how to get the fuel cap assembly out or do you have to do it from underneath maybe.

Interesting link I found.
Since I had P1445 code before that might have shut the pump off and when clearing that telling the car that all is fine might have started all and it could be the sensor.
Since I tested another fuel cap I don't think it is the magnet in there

Not sure, if the sensor in the tank neck is faulty then another cap wouldn't help.
The Peugeot uses PP2000 not Diagbox, and neither work properly on the opposite vehicle brand. If you use DiagBox on Peugeot, or PP2000 on Citroen, it "seems" to connect but the commands don't work properly. Is this what you've done maybe?

Lexia is for citroen, tried that also. Diagbox are for both. No problem in communication
Sensor is located on car. Magnet on fuel cap.
