Aircon pump

Hi,

Has anybody found any issues with the aircon pump when switched on and it makes the engine hesitate at low revs?
I know the pump adds more load to the engine when switched on but I'm wondering if the pump is starting to seize.

Any help appreciated.

Welcome. AFAIK, the AC pump / compressor should make a click noise as the electric clutch engages and maybe a momentary hesitation in the revs as the engine takes the load but it should recover.

When my ac compressor clutch engages there is a noticeable change in engine sound for a second while it winds up but no hesitation or stutter. Sounds like yours is putting an undue load on the engine.
