The tailgate on my 2012 berlingo won’t shut. It doesn’t click at all when shut. I’ve tried wd40 on the mechanism to no avail.
Any help or advice would be appreciated as I’ve got a lot of work gear in the car at the moment

Might be the floor latch has moved or needs adjustment - a couple of Torx screws, possibly hidden by trim. Alternatively use a screwdriver and see if you can get the latch in the tailgate to move from the open to the latched position - may need a bit of force to make it move.

Try operating the handle to "open" it as it could already be latched in the closed position at the bottom of the tailgate itself. Does it "bang" when you try to close it or is it quiet? If quiet then the latch must be open. It makes a noticeable clatter when it's latched and you try to close the door, like a metallic bang.
