Just ordered front and rear sets of disks and pads.
The new bosch rears have arrived with magnetic abs rings on them, while the already fitted ones have toothed reluctor rings.
I can't imagine that these are compatible, but thought I would check first.
Thoughts?

As far as I know all B9 Berlingo's use the magnetic ring type ABS rear discs, catcar & Apec brakes show them as this, they don't show a disc that has the toothed reluctor ring but there are often exceptions (change over years)
You haven't mentioned the year or engine type of the vehicle which could make a difference.
It's a good idea to put your vehicle details in your signature then they will be displayed with every post you make which helps in queries such as this one.

Next question. I need to buy the bits / sockets to do the brakes, so any idea what the Torx bit size is for the front and rear caliper removal?
Are they both female torx bolts, or are sockets also needed?
Catcar doesn't show the details and as it's throwing it down atm, I'm too lazy to get under the car and check.

What is the outcome from the rear brake discs & the reluctor ring difference?

I was going to have a try today, but I realised that I needed the Torx bits? sockets? and the rain was torrential.
So I wimped out.
Hopefully tomorrow I can have a proper look.
Everyone I have asked has said they are always magnetic, not toothed, so either I got it wrong when looking and my eyes / brain had a glitch, or someone has bodged it.
Any idea on Torx size and type?

All will be revealed when you get the discs off
"I think" the Torx sizes are T55 for the front & T50 for the rear, you need Torx bits not sockets.
Make sure you have the Torx bit fully home in the bolt, give the bit a good tap in with a hammer after scraping out any debris.

Thank you.
That information seems to be nearly impossible to find.

You may also need, if you don't have a set, a small Torx for the countersunk 'service' screws that attach the disc to the hub.

I changed front and back discs/pads last week, if you need any information or help give me a shout and be prepared for the fronts to need a good belting to come of.
