Bonnet safety catch
#1
I'm looking for a photo of the bonnet lock as fitted on the car.

On mine, the yellow safety catch release handle has broken off : I can operate the main catch but the bonnet stays caught on the safety catch.
I need to know if the metal part is accessible through the narrow gap while the bonnet is on the safety catch, and which way it pushes.

Or is there another way to release the bonnet fully ?

2014 VTR diesel - I always have great difficulty opening the bonnet. From the photos it looks as though you feel for the yellow lever and push it to the left? Or right?
Anyone else have a problem or is it just my clumsy hands?

slide your hand in flat, next to the passenger headlight, and slide to your left (up to the knuckles) and you will hit the yellow lever, then keep going towards the drivers side while putting a little pressure downward on the bonnet with your other hand and it will release the wind latch.
