I'm a big fan of preventive maintenance and not knowing what quality of clutch cable had been fitted by the previous owner i decided to change it for a new Pagid cable.
I've had the cable hung up for a week filled with oil. Fitted it today - no drama's, car on ramps, everything done from underneath, used a G-clamp to press the clutch actuation lever in, unbolted the clutch pedal and jobs a good un!
Two top tips I figured out was to remove the cable bracket bolted to the gearbox to make getting the rubber grommet on the cable end easier to wiggle in place rather than doing it in situ. And also make it easier still the grommet can be slid away from the plastic 'stopper' and easily squashed into the cable bracket.
I love how easy everything is to tinker with on this van/car.
