Diagbox question

Hi all,

New Berlingo owner here, I have a 2012 B9 1.6hdi.

I’ve recently fitted a cruise control stalk to the van and was generously given the whole Diabox kit from a mate who no longer needed it. It’s running V7.66 and having issue connecting to the van. I was under the impression that it should automatically display my VIN when connected, but it doesn’t. 

I entered it in manually and got to the application launching menu where I can select repair and then select BSI but then it fails to connect and shows “No Dialogue”. I’m guessing this means it’s not actually connected. 

What am I doing wrong, this is my 1st time using Diagbox, am I running the incorrect version?
I have updates on the laptop ranging from V7.57 up to V7.82 do I need to run a different version.
Wifi has been disabled so no accidental connection.

Just read on Zions post that V7.62 is probably best, how do I roll back to the previous version if I’m currently on V7.66. I have the versions available but read that they should be updated in order, nothing about going back?

Any help would be much appreciated

You can't roll back. You would have to use something like CCleaner to completely remove all traces of Diagbox and start again, stopping at 7.62.

However, getting no connection suggests there is something wrong with your OBD socket or a blown fuse. There's a dedicated fuse for the OBD function and that may be blown. Can't remember what it is and don't have the documentation in front of me at home. Search my threads on the B9 section - I posted the fuse layouts there.

I'd do that before trying to roll back, 7.66 may well be ok, but no vin recognition and no global scan, suggests something is wrong with your OBD system on the van. All versions will connect just fine. It's only that the later versions progressively removed configuration capabilities.

I’ll check the fuse for the OBD, I’ve got a fuse layout chart to hand. I shall update if I find anything.

There seems to be a couple of different ways to add CC function, what’s the best way for a 2012 berlingo?

The OBD fuse is ok, so not sure why Diagbox won’t connect.

No idea. could be the adaptor. You do have the proper Actia (Lexia) interface yeah? Ordinary obd cables are no use.

I have the Proper lexia adapter, I might go give it another try.

Brilliant, ok make sure it's plugged in properly to the van, the socket is tight and can push through the backplate. That's probably the issue.

I always found it hard to plug in securely. Takes a bit of wiggling to ensure the plug of the Actia is snug.

And it maybe sound stupid, but make sure the ignition is on, all lights up on the dashboard the whole time you're using Diagbox, unless it tells you to switch off and on again during coding.

Ok cheers, I’ll check the connection is good. The Lexia is connected to the laptop absolutely fine as it flashes 3 times and then stays lit up. Maybe I’m not pushing the OBD connector hard enough onto the OBD. I’ll give it a go now

I’ve given up for today, I’ll have another bash next week. I tried all sorts to connect to get my vin accepted manually and automatically, neither worked. I could hear the relay in the Lexia clicking when it was trying to read the OBD. But just said connection failed, but the padlock logo at the top right of the Diagbox screen was flashing green on and off…

Weirdly when I entered in my vin manually I could access the accessories menu in Diag but cruise control wasn’t an option listed. Maybe I need to uninstall my version and go back one. Not really sure how I do that without deleting all versions on this laptop and then reinstalling it again from the disc.
