The car has ABS but no ESP.
I assume it can be added, with an additional ECU with accelerometers etc, and a steering wheel angle sensor?

Well... yes its an old clunker, but if getting salvage parts I think its worth it.
Where I live we drive on snow/ice in the 6 month long winter, and to top it off I'm driving on all-year unstudded tires and these have horrible grip on ANY surface... even wet asphalt is like driving on snow!

I thought it was law in Norway that you had to drive on studded tyres during the winter months.
