Gearbox Breather

I've just bought a 2004 1.9d Berlingo van. I've been working on the engine and have found its missing its gearbox breather. There is just a broken plastic union sticking out of the top if the box. I can't seem to find any mention of it in the manual or on the Internet. Can anyone supply me with a photo of what I need to get for it. I assume it's a reasonable sized pipe as the is a plastic pipe clip located next to the broken Union in the gearbox. I could do with finding out where the other end of the pipe fit into aswell. Thanks for any advice in advance.

The gearbox breather is located at the top of the gearbox casting and is a screwed in unit with a 'floating' plastic cap which allows any pressure to escape and stops muck going in. There is no pipe attached. If you just have the screwed in part with no lid then put a folded over pipe-cleaner into the hole and this will achieve the same.
