[Brakes] front brake flexihose B9
#11
A standard check on a flexi like that is to look closely for cracking - usually near the fittings - but the pressure 'element' of the hose is an inner pipe, fabric coated, all protected by the outer sleeve that you see. That one looks good from the pic and needs no more than a wire brush at the end- the fitting that shows some rust won't be changed by changing the flexi from what I can see.  Undecided

Several of us already said it was the hydraulic clutch pipe....

Ah well, I can only count the owner and yourself - a bit like Boris's supporters, an over-estimate!

The suggestion to inspect the flexi pipe still stands - if you are uncoupling it then inspecting/changing it would be the norm, in my opinion.
But then I am also quite happy just to keep quiet. Sad

Peter

Ahem.....Me, Pete and eventually the OP..... Rolleyes

Not saying anything wrong with your advice @oilyrag, it was as good (and sensible) as always. I was referring to the OP stating "it's actually a clutch pipe" after myself and Pete had already said it back up the thread.

I should have quoted the OPs post and it may have been clearer. I've done that now.

Oh well, stick with the quite unnecessary and somewhat demeaning comment - and I'll just keep quiet.

I don't get what you're getting at mate, I said your comments are as always, sensible and good?

I was replying to the OP in post #12, not to you. But you'd posted at the same time, which appeared before my reply to BrianG and you assumed I was talking to you, which I wasn't. But, no offence intended and hopefully no harm done.
