At 12/08 the gearstick surround that I wanted to remove is taken off though with mine being auto the whole front is a solid single piece as there is no stick at all!!
The steel he pulls at 16/43 is a pain for me and I am considering its total removal.
It is rather fascinating just how much assembly goes into these vehicles.
This also might have helped me find a route through for a lead from the battery for my train horns.
At 17/18 he removes the A pillar surround and that might help me to fit a grab handle.
I suppose restoring the dash is simply the reverse procedure. LOL
