Hello all, How are we?

So today my steering felt somewhat "vague" and there is a significant pull to the right under acceleration and left under deceleration. I stopped on flat ground and done the usual "kick stuff" and when I put my foot on the front or back of the driver side tyre it is rather solid as you'd expect but if I do this on the passenger side there is a bit of movement in the wheel but you can also see the steering wheel doing a little bit of a dance. I am assuming that sounds like a catastrophic headache in the steering rack?

Jack up and look or go to a garage / mot place to diagnose.

Jack one side up, wiggle the wheel, do that with the other side, see if one side is significantly different.

Thats usually a sign the ball joints/lower suspension arm is needing renewed.

Ah I see that's interesting. I only changed the two wish bones last year. Would that also make the steering feel vague

When you accelerate the wheel with the worn joints moves forward in relation to the vehicle , this makes the vehicle wheelbase length on the worn side get longer. It has to turn , then when you slow down the wheelbase is shorter than the other side so it turns the opposite way .

So yes it will make the steering feel vague
