I've removed the 2 pieces of plastic scuttle between the windscreen and bonnet on my M49, in order to remove gunge that had accumulated beneath. There was no gunge in the nearside drain area and a few handfuls in the offside, now all cleared, though it didn't look enough to cause blockage.
Anyway, when it comes to putting the scuttle pieces back, I've found a sort of flanged nut beside where the 2 scuttle pieces overlap and are screwed in with a torx screw - see pic below (unidentified nut to the left of the connection point, torx screw to the right).
As I removed the nearside bit of scuttle first, which was under the offside bit, I'm not sure where this nut (if that's what it is) fits in, as I didn't see it during dismantling. Any ideas? The nearside bit of scuttle also has a split in the connection tab (visible on the pic) - I might have caused this when taking the nearside scuttle out first. Does this matter?
