Can eco mode be eliminated.

It can be extended to 20 mins using DiagBox but not eliminated - it's there to protect the battery and can't be turned off or deactivated.

That's what I thought. SO today I am sat on the drive running the engine just so I can link the Android to wifi so I can add Google (and other) maps.

I need then to have a second battery that I can switch in.

If this second battery is to power the ignition accessories like the stereo's....how are you going to hook that up without the Berlingos battery control system disconnecting it as it does with the main battery?

If you then decided to connect another battery to the BSI ignition feed, it will freak out. Second (leisure) batteries usually power loads that are not on the car's main systems, but are separate. With a charge controller from the main engine battery so it gets charged when the car is running but separate when stopped.

In my many years of caravanning a secondary battery was a must.  However, I don't intend to go to that extreme and TBH for the moment I will put up with the eco silliness even though I only get a few minutes.  It takes me a long time to set a route unless I am coming home so a few minutes is not enough. lol

My voltmeter has made me decide to fit a new battery - another OPP thing - so I hope it will make a bit of a difference.

Can you guide me where I can find that option in Diagbox? I'm running 7.57.

With very old Lexia I found it quickly, but with DB I lost patience.

Can't remember - you'll have to look in the menus for configuration buddy. I've not used Diagbox in a year or two.

I think it's in the BSI configuration section.

Since fitting a new battery which actually has a lower cranking output my eco warning has not reappeared.

It will if you leave the ignition on for 15 mins. That's what it's for. Preventing you from running the battery flat. It won't go away with a new battery, but it may go to the full 20 mins with a new battery

It's not a warning, it's a control measure.

Yes but the notification would be up on display right off before.
