My local council is about to implement a clean air zone and anything less than Euro 6 diesel has to pay a congestion charge of £9 a day, mine is a 2015 Euro 5 so I missed Euro 6 by a year. Is it worth/possible to retrofit a new Euro 6 as the council are offering grants for retrofitting/new vehicles of up to around £4.5k I think.
Looks like Euro 7 is coming into force in 2025 so not entirely sure it's worth it and it probably makes more sense to go electric but looks like I'm looking at at least £12k+ for a second hand one. Reluctant to get rid of my current van to be honest as it's low mileage and I've really looked after it but looks like going electric is inevitable in the near future.
