Nemo electric window double button query
#1
Looking for some help and advice regarding my drivers side door electric window double button switch (photo attached). The buttons are loose so they wobble and move out of position when the windows are operated.

I have seen several pattern parts listed including the one in the attached photo, although the measurements are the same they are different. Mine has the long 95mm on the right hand side of the switch, the ones listed all have the long 95mm on the left hand side.

Am I missing something Huh . I cant seem to find any pattern items with the same shape as my original.

Would appreciate some help and advice please Wink

That would suggest the ones online are for the original left hand drive version. You might need to get the exact part number for the UK right hand drive model switch unit from catcar.info or 7zap.

Thanks very much Zion for your latest reply, your help and interest is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, unless I am doing something wrong, the link you supply to Amazon shows a similar one to the one I have already attached to my original post whereby the 95mm is on the left hand side of the switch. I need the 95mm to be on the right hand side.

I am also struggling to find any mention of part number 16062807 Sad

........and no I haven`t started on the festive booze...... Blush

Would appreciate an update of your thoughts Wink

I did have a quick cursory look earlier at the two websites you previously suggested, catcar.info and 7zap, but I was struggling to think under what section the switches would be listed eg body, electrics, interior etc

Under electrics section. Electric windows...

I've searched trade catalogues and no matter where I look, they are exactly as the one I posted. I'm beginning to wonder if your one is actually correct. Anyway, why not just fit the switch unit and leave the surround alone? See below. You know the switch module detaches from the surround?

Release the tabs, pull the switch, fit the new one and bam.

Hiya Zion,

Really appreciate your help and assistance with this topic, I acknowledge your time and effort which is reflected by the content of your replies so thank you very much.

Do you know what, I saw the switch unit late yesterday evening and did wonder whether they would fit. I was going to wait until this morning after the frost has gone and the sun is out to check. Your confirmation that releasing the tabs will enable me to pull the switch unit out from the surround to fit a replacement Big Grin

Now off to order the switch unit.

Many thanks again Zion Wink

Ah you're welcome, I've not tried this of course but for £12 off eBay I'd give it a try if it were me. You might also find a part number on your old one when you pull it out. Best of luck!

Just a quick update for anyone following this thread. New switch arrived this morning. I have attached four photos that might help if anyone else is thinking about doing the same and replacing their window switch.

New and old switch side by side front view.

New and old switch side by side rear view.

Old switch dismantled.

New switch fitted.

All fairly simple and straight forward and all done in less than 5 minutes from removing old switch from door to refitting new switch back into door.

Just to reiterate my thanks to Zion for his help and assistance. Big Grin

Brilliant news, that will help others too as that Nemo switch seems like rocking horse poop to find in RHD format, so the switch module swap I'd say is the only way to fix it.
