Hello new here. I have an 06 berlingo that crunches going into 3rd every time unless you let the revs come down to idil speed. Any idea what might be causing it? Thank you

Usually caused by worn synchro rings in the gearbox, but sometimes there can be a problem with a shift linkage.

When you shift from 2nd to 3rd try giving the revs a blip just before you engage 3rd, it may help.

Or you can get another gearbox fitted instead of learning how to live with it.
On a serious note, try a full gearbox oil change and see if it improves. New thick oil slows the gears down more between gear changes for a smoother shift.
