Hi everyone - new here - hoping you can help. I seem to be unable to get the exact replacement oil filter and washer for my Berlingo. Does anyone know the original part/part number at all? I have a 1.6 BlueHDi 75 which is a 2016 year. All other filters cause a slight leak :-(
Thanks every so much for any help that you can provide

The correct Fram filter would be 501545126. I'd expect that to come with a washer but maybe call your local ECP branch to ask the question.
I have the same engine and model as you, but I don't do the servicing myself these days so couldn't say for sure on the washer.

I guess it is the cartridge type in a black plastic housing. If so there should be a replacement 'O' ring in with the filter. I have never had one leak. They do not rely on the housing being tightened to seal, the sealing is achieved by the fit between the filter housing and the engine casting. Make sure the engine part is spotless and does not have any score marks, Make sure the filter housing is not cracked or damaged. Finally, do not overtighten the housing, best to use a torque wrench.

A bit of an aside I know but.
I fitted a new Bosh oil filter and O ring seal at last oil change, 2016 1.6 xtr. Some 3000 miles later got a leak from round housing, purchased a second filter and fitted it and all ok for last 5000 miles.
On inspecting the old oil ring it was quite hard and not very compressible.Did I make a mistake and refit the old oil ring or not clean off properly at the oil change maybe but I don’t think so, as for tightening torque I’m a engineer of many years but it’s possible I cocked it up.
My personal thoughts are bugger all rubber in Bosh O rings nowadays.
