Can someone tell me wht this is in the picture please by the arrow?   I am hoping it is something I can pull off and will give me access to pass a wire through.

They look like caps to cover the end of a bolt. Probably not a good idea to mess too much with it.

Yes that is the worry.  I was hoping that I could access the clutch entry point - mine is auto.

Those will be the bolts holding your steering shaft to the floor John. The clutch entry would be much higher up. The clutch on the manual is hydraulic, same height as the brake servo rod from the brake pedal. Same system.

From the battery to the glove box.

there is a cable already from the battery that maybe you can use

Oh wow, that is a great link thanks.

When the weather allows me to get out there I'll try to do it.

I have had the glove box off loads of times dealing with this but I don't recall seeing that plug with the white lead.  Mind you, I was not looking for it!! Rolleyes Rolleyes

Something I found troublesome is that there is a big "thing" plugged into the fuse box which I believe is for the auto gearbox's electricals and it makes accessing the fuses a nightmare.
