1.6hdi multispace berlingo yellow warning light engine fault
#1
Hi, my Berlingo showed the yellow warning light with a text with it that said engine fault, it turned off, but came back again. Now the engine lost power and will not go past 3-3,5k RPM. Anybody had the same problem and what would I have to look for. Engine mileage is 125k.

Welcome,

The engine speed is normal for 'limp mode', you need a OBD code reader to get more info.

I only have an universal one, will it do the job?

I don't know for sure. If it is an OBD reader, it should work. Do you have any details of your OBD reader or maybe a picture?

Can't find 0493 in the official list of codes. Are you certain that's correct?
