I am been seeking a vehicle to help me with a home renovation, and also to eat up the miles travelling home to see family, Brighton to Yorkshire.

I landed on this beauty. Brown, automatic.. so sexy! haha




Its had a rough life, I assume it is an ex-cab? Bought it for £1650, but expect when I get it to my mechanic on Monday there will be a few headaches. Still, think it was a steal.

Ah Brill! Don't let the sun flare fool you. I think it might have been in a front collision in its past, and the boot is the wrong colour too.

I just hope once mechanic looks over it nothing too deadly is found!

Haha I've had an ex-taxi before. But genuinely we wish you luck with it and many happy years on the forum!

Hopefully it had a lot of maintenance in its time as a taxi and it may well do a good few more miles. It's all down to that and how it was driven. Machines wear and they sometimes break, it's part of the natural cycle.

Did you get a bundle of service history with it? Recent cam belt and water pump would be good, as that's the most likely failure on high miles.

And I actually like the colour, more like "metallic bronze" than brown, (there's something you can use down the pub.)
