Shake, rattle and Roll!
#1
Howdy! Loving my 'new' bus.

Currently no working radio so can hear every rattle and squaek!

Are there any 'common fixes' to help dampen the different shudders and rattles?

Fill it with noisy kidsSmile Actually my van Is reasonably quiet. Is it just generally squeaky or coming from a specific area.

Can you be a bit more specific? Are you talking about purely nose from inside the cabin, or also noise from outside?

And just for info, are you replacing the radio with a non-Citroen item or does it just not work? If it is the former, if you replace with another radio, you loose control of the settings on the MFD [Multi-function Display] that is at the top of the centre consul

It already has a double din pioneer radio, that I think is hopefully installed incorrectly, but more likely broken.

It turns on, and the stalks work. Just no sound at all be it CD, radio etc.

Mine is not the B9, but the M59, but the same rattles and squeaks. For dash trim areas I was pretty successful at eliminating them with felt tape, see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuu5gDkH134

Or for the rear side doors here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4-s6Y2Z1Cc

First you have to identify where the rattle is coming from and what is banging/rubbing on what and then you fix it, a long and laborious process, but works.

It should be straightforward, if it all lights up and the stalks work then pull the stereo and check the speaker wiring block is plugged in to the Quadlock adaptor. The Citroen uses a funny plug called a Quadlock with Fakra aerial, and normal stereos use ISO block plugs. The adaptor has to be assembled so it has maybe slipped apart.

I noticed this is orphaned at the back with nothing to plug into?

If found the exact same radio for £30. I might just get that and swap them over?

Wish there was an easy/cheap way to check if it is the radio or speakers! [Image: 95ec89c0041bcb2908c28846ef1fdf18.jpg]

Is that not an aerial lead connector?
