That's cos we didn't care - the Berlingo is such a lovely car it doesn't need twiddles. That's be like putting springs onto a 2CV.

Hi guys, been a while, but not far off doing an engine replacement on the thing. The original engine is the lower power 90bhp NFR variant, and the low milage replacement is the 110bhp NFU.
The only difference between the two units in so far as I've found, is the ECU. After much time spent cross referencing part numbers, all of the mechanical components are identical to both engine models, apart from the ECU.
I can source an ECU from an NFR engine, but I suspect it may need to be coded to the vehicles VIN. Is that the case, or is that bollocks?
