Ignition barrel

Hi all just got a 2002 Berlingo van 1.9 diesel, problem with the key for the ignition barrel not always working/hard to turn, ordered new set of locks and barrel for the van from
EBay but the wiring on the new barrel is different from the original, the blue connection is fine but it’s the connector for the fuseboard that’s different, any recommendations for where to get the correct barrel and any advise for replacing would be greatly appreciated! I’ve attached images of the new and old barrel connectors!

Could you cut and solder the wires of the new barrel connector to the female end of old barrel connector plug? With heat shrink could be a tidy job
