Arm rest swap out??
#1
I had a Peugeot Partner Outdoor model, which had arm rests, as well as the seat side air bags.  Now I have a 2018 Berlingo Multispace Feel Model.  It is a little more basic, and one of the features which I miss is the armrests on the seats.
I have looked at purchasing a centre arm rest and fitting it, but it would appear to be more centred, and not close to my seat in the way that the fold down arm rests keep you in the seat when cornering, as well as to rest your arm on.

I have considered getting an old seat with the armrest already there, stripping the seat back, refitting my new seat fabric to it and then puncturing a hole through for the frame fittings.  I just wanted to know if anyone has ever done this?

Or is there any other options in getting a good reliable armrest close to the seat,

Thanks,

I am currently making a platform for an armrest of the type that can be bought cheaply on ebay.

The armrest is one of these but I don't use the metalwork they come with.

The platform is in wood and sits on the floor and over the existing centre console between the seats. I have spent 8 hours making it so far and should be done in another four hours.

My 2013 B9 may be a bit different chassis/floorwise but when it is done I will show a few pictures.

Best option is to 3d print an armrest that attaches to the center console (the one with sliding lid) or the center floor. Then cover the part where arm sits with sponge and leather.

Yes that could be ideal.
