today i checked the wires in the dome, there is a big black connector with 4 wires (green, gray, greenwhite, brown) but none of them provide 12V with or without ignition on...

I found one but getting the wiring there was more hassle than tapping off the cig lighter
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top
