Afternoon all.
So my juddery engine saga continues. Picked the car up from the garage last night with brand new clutch, guide, fork and balljoint. Clutch now operates just lovely i can literally press the pedal with one finger. However, it didn't cure the juddering problem. Every time i pull away in 1st gear the engine get very jumpy. The only thing I can think of is the flywheel. My mechanic agrees but he says it's quite unlikely for the solid flywheel to develop a fault like this. Has anyone of you had similar problem or can comment on the flywheel issue? Thanks in advance, David.

Did you check or change the rear lower torque link to the engine?

Yes. As soon as I try to release the clutch the engine starts jumping. It's also jumpy when I try to engine brake and release the clutch slowly especially in 2nd gear- which to me points at flywheel. It's pretty much very smooth pulling under load etc. It's just extremely annoying, to the point that I avoid driving it.

That is really weird with a solid flywheel. It's almost impossible to get flywheel judder.

My mechanic agreed it's unlikely, but if the clutch was badly burnt in the past it might have caused the flywheel to warp

True, that's possible.

Does it judder when you engine brake with the clutch fully engaged / foot off the pedal?

Might be oil contamination of the flywheel from the rear crank seal.
