Manual DPF regeneration?

Hi all
I made a manual DPF regen on my berlingo multispace (2012) today, It started on high revs (3000 rpm) but only for around 5 min. it then continued on idle for around 30 min until it completed.
Does anyone know, is this normal or have I possibly done something wrong? and how long should high revs (3000 rpm) last during regen?

No idea. Never had to do a forced regen while static. I suspect most folk haven't either.

how did you initiate the manual regen? using diagbox?
If using diagbox then it should guide you step by step of what needs to be done for the process to success.
