Do I need the new adblue cap??
#1
Hi there, I've a 2017 berlingo van hdiblue enterprise
Just read about the adblue tank issues and the recall that replaces the cap to a vented one with a white centre.
Looked at my cap and it's centre is black, so do I need the newer cap to prevent future issues?
Cheers
Chris

yes as fast as possible, and until you get the new cap, open the cap to let air in and put back in

Mine is a 2016 xtr hdi blue, it has a blue cap with a white insert with 3 small vents in.

Right, I've a closer look at the cap, although not obvious my existing cap with the black centre is vented with 3 slots! I guess Citroen started fitting these at some point as standard but would have thought they'd be the white ones??

I have this same cap with the grey centre on my 2017 diesel multispace - how do you check to see whether it has vents? I've taken it off and had a look and I can see what might be vents but not sure.

The non-vented cap is solid blue with no coloured centre, so you should be fine. As far as we can tell, the coloured ones are all vented and the plain blue ones are not.

The vented cap is a Citroen Recall so anyone who finds they have a plain blue Adblue cap can get it replaced for free with a vented one, but will have to contact a Citroen dealer to arrange this.

If unsure about the one you have, call a Citroen dealer service dept and ask them to confirm.
