Adblue Tank issue / Additive Tank issue / Urea light / emmisions fault
#21
Done this as preventative on my 2018 Berlingo the other week. I used a Topdon ArtiDiag800 BT to reset the counter.

Was dead easy after watching a few YouTube videos, access is a little tricky so I removed the back wheel and was just about able to get my hand to the filler hose to remove it. Once you've done it once you'll be able to do it again easy.

Artidiag tool was £180, and 3L of fluid was £60, filled the tank and still have 1.5l of fluid left so was probably just about empty (van has just over 80k on the clock)

Very useful information - thanks for posting.

Rather than start a new Adblue thread, I hope it's OK to ask a general question here.
I put 10l of Adblue in my 2016 Berlingo II B9 1.6 Blu HDi 100 over 10,000 miles and nearly two years ago.
I have some anti-crystallising additive ready to go in with the next fill but wonder how far away that may be!
How many miles approx between fills do you guys get please?

My understand is that AdBlue is injected into the exhaust system downstream of the DPF but upstream of the Catalytic Convertor.

It works by allowing the nitrogen-oxide (NOx) to be converted into water and nitrogen. But as far as I know that process is only possible when the exhaust system has reached operating temperature.

I think a typical consumption rate is about one litre per 600-700 miles.
So 6000-7000 miles for 10 litres.

But if you’re doing journeys which are not long enough to get the temperature up it won’t be using any AdBlue.

Our 2016 Berlingo Multispace XTR BlueHDI 100, which we’ve had from new, has only had the AdBlue refilled once in Mar 24 at 25,412 miles.
Although the warning countdown had begun prior to that.

I tried this but even if the reservoir is full the pump extracts nothing.. I think it has some blocking wall. Anyone else tested this drain method?
