I'm reassembling my van after a few little jobs that have taken a few months to sort. I can't remember how the cable clips in, can anyone do me a picture of theirs?
It's a 2.0hdi with this weird setup

Some images of the setup in this video, the clip would fit at the front to stop the cable pulling back through.

Thanks, looks like I've lost a plastic nut that sits on there as well. The whole cable's a bit on the slack side, so it's probably worth throwing a new one at it. Only catch is I've found so many different options, I can't work out which one I need. Anyone know for sure?

Take a look at the page in the link below, you will see all of the parts for the end of the cable.
Looks like you're missing a grommet & a washer..... maybe you can fabricate a grommet of some description and a washer shouldn't be that hard to find.
If not you should be able to order the parts from the dealers.

Good link there, definitely one for the bookmarks. Grommet and washer makes sense when I look in my tray of left over bits!
There's two cables on that page, any ideas which it'll be? Mine's got about 0.75" of slack on it.

I've no idea which one you will need.
Can you not take out the slack by moving the clip forwards on the plastic piece that has the grooves on it?
