Berlingo B9 Aftermarket alarm wiring

Hello, new to this site. i have a 2013 B9 berlingo and am trying to install an aftermaket alarm. I literally have everything working as i want except for the remote central locking. 

The wiring instructions which came with the alarm which are supposedly for my van (i beg to differ) state that pin 27 on EH1 connector is for the central locking hookup. They state its a single wire single wire negative to lock, interrupted to unlock. I have wired the alarm system relays as they state to pin 27 of EH1, it does lock the van with the oem indicator flash too, however it fails to unlock the van. Am i missing something? is there a seperate unlock wire or is it just the case that the wiring instructions they sent me are completely wrong as i expected? 

If anyone knows exactly what wires/pins in what connectors i need to hook the alarm unit up to for the remote central locking with oem indicator flash for locking and unlocking via the alarm remotes it would be greatly appriciated!

This should be the correct pin assignment for EH1 on the BSI: (27 looks like status; 29 is also similarly named) but see after this list, my suggestion.

EH1 engine: 40-channel white connector:
Connector pin Assignation
Pin 1 Input: fixed stop for the rear windscreen wiper motor
Pin 2 Input: not assigned / Ground for the hydraulic pump unit relay (307 CC)
Pin 4 Input: open door switch (CPO) on driver’s side and state of the vehicle’s openable
features
Pin 5 Input: open door switch (CPO) on passenger’s side and state of the vehicle’s
openable features
Pin 8 Output: common for the outside temperature sensor
Pin 9 Output: control for lowering rear right-hand electric window / control of the hydraulic
pump unit relay (307 CC)
Pin 10 Output: control for raising rear right-hand electric window / not assigned (307 CC)
Pin 11 Output: control for front courtesy light
Pin 12 Output: power supply for rear electric window switches
(Authorization to operate).

I'd suggest using the toggle input from the dash button - but have never tried to see if it's on after eco mode kicks in, or is on the main B+ side and always active. 

6220 is the central locking switch, and wire signal 6224 going to BSI 10V NR pin 3 is the plip remote locking input A1. This is PB plug pin 3 on the BSI and is also used as the internal lock / unlock toggle from the dash button.

Thanks for this.. however if I use the switch inside the van itself this won't then operate the deadlock will it? I'm sure that's just a simple lock and unlock, I'd rather use the OEM central locking wires if it's possible, however the hazard switch pin is useful thanks!

Also I don't suppose you have the same sort of pin information on connector PH2 do you please? As I see the central locking motors go into that so could have a look at doing it that way.

No worries. I do wonder why you don't lock using the standard car remote and just signal the alarm to set and unset itself with the lock status wire?

If I could I would do that however I'm not sure it's possible on the alarm unit itself as it's not a canbus alarm it's just a relatively cheap one.. I'm guessing it would need to be a canbus alarm to be able to do what you suggested?

It only needs to check the lock status. Locked or unlocked on a single wire, like pin 27 or 29 of EH1, shows if locked or not. Are you sure you're understanding just how this alarm works? Sounds to me like it expects to know the status of the locks from those pins. That's the function of pin 27 on EH1, lock status. From that signal, high or low, it can tell if the vehicle is locked, or not. Then it sets or disarms itself.

That's how an alarm should work.

For a can bus link, it would need to be connected on the correct can bus itself, there are 5, all different, then it would have to know the can frame IDs to use to read status. Sounds like the single wire version is easier to implement. High or low signal.

Hi, yes I'm pretty sure it doesn't actually read any signals from the vehicle itself, all the central locking wires are outputs from relays in the alarm unit, like I say it's only a cheapy alarm unit, I've attached a diagram I got from them showing how to hook up the alarm to pin 27 in the van, like I said it locks the van and deadlocks it but doesn't actually unlock it. I've also attached the pin wiring picture from the alarm unit.

I don't see where is says connect to pin 27 on EH1 anywhere? Maybe I'm missing something. Also the B9 has none of the conventional wires in the doors like a wire which grounds on opening to turn the interior lights on etc, all functions are handled by the BSI and the door locks signal it that they're open or closed.

Assuming 27 does lock and deadlock then you must need another pin to unlock, or a change of polarity to unlock..but I have never messed with the BSI signals in that way to confirm.

I have been thinking about fitting an alarm.
Having it switched completely independently from the remote locking key fob.
I thought there were ones that sensed vibration or electrical changes such as a courtesy light coming on; this was to be my approach but I confess I have not researched it yet as it is a job for the summer.
I would run it from my permanent live supply line or the permanent live supply terminal that sits on the battery.
Make life easier - go automatic. Cool
