Drivers side window doesn't always operate
#1
I sometimes find that the drivers side window won't always operate on my Berlingo, it's not the motor as locking/unlocking the car from the outside will fix it.

I swear it knows when the weather is the most horrible not to work. Any suggestions as to why would be most appreciated.

Sounds like you have a wire or wires broken in the loom from the body into the door, Opening and closing the door may be making/breaking the circuit. Was a common fault and happened to me on my 306.

Hi
my 02 berlingo did this for a while , it hasnt happened since I did the BSI reset but that may have been coincidental. the door wires seemed ok.

Just fixed same problem this morning(13/3/12),window control unit is the most likely problem. This is found in the drivers foot well, to the left of the fuse box.A green oblong box about 2"x3".Unclip connections, cut cable tie and remove.Remove green casing (awkward) to reveal PCB(printed circuit board),on the back check soldered connections with a magnifying glass carefully and you`ll find a broken/bad soldered connection, resolder and this should cure it.
My `02 started the same way, intermittently working and then not.If you can`t find bad connection try a second hand unit.

The link doesn't work (the other one didn't either and just went to the first page if your site and was assumed to be spam which was why it was removed).
