Diagbox confusion??

Hi, ive read the pinned thread on diagbox but still a little confused as to what I need.

I have a 2017 enterprise van, so I assume I need ver 9.xx
But what cable do I need?

I've seen on ebay so many versions of diagbox either from a disc or virtual and at wildy varying prices, with or without lexia cables which I think(?) aren't compatible with later models

Any advice appreciated on what I should get, or whether a simple hand held reader would suffice as I believe the later version of diagbox I wouldn't be able to code anything?

I got mine from tools4cars. Just went to somewhere that had some feedback and you could contact with problems. Don’t know if they are the cheapest. This is what I bought.

They have a decent install video as well. The install is a right faff.

You can get the version 9.68 as a Virtual Machine with no install needed, it is way better (use VMWare Player to run it) but you need the full-chip Actia Lexia-3 interface. Beware version 9.68 will try to update the firmware on the interface and if it is the cheapo version (not full-chip v3) it will be bricked permanently.

Also the version for your vehicle can not do configuration changes or add parts, as after 7.63 there is no way to do configuration, only fault code scanning.
